We hit the harmless Rehab route today in Jeddah scouting for a few of the very best apartments to dwell in and we got on pretty well..plus, add to that the fact that it was a Friday, and needless to say, Fridays are those days when I'm at the zeniths of ecstasy!
Retracing the past few days now, we had 22ND APR as Earth day and they did a bizarre but amusing assembly in our school followed by a poetry writing comp. which was on the spot..cool!
So they gave the topics 'life' and 'global economic recession' and yeah, I was left wondering I couldn't write anythin' on recession, so might as well write on life which was a breeze!
( you might have noticed the contrast between the choices anyway.)
No need for an omg, I have no idea what to write over here, so I'll jot down the poem I wrote instead!
Life.. ( couldn't wish for a better title!)
There's always a story to every one of us millions born
but its about being satisfied after all those years yawn
that the difference between what you're doin' and what you can do
can evaporate all bad, everyday's just a new avatar of you
just bloom a smile in someone's heart rather than their face
count life by what makes ya breathless; not by the breaths you take
life is what happens while we're busy makin' our excuses
dreams are what disappear when your mind simply muses
tomorrow if someone asks you what you'd wanna be
I'd either do things worth writin' or write those things worthy
Like this prose which may be disregarded and thrown
but in the right hands may encourage a dissuaded soul
If one pebble cast can create seamless ripples in an ocean
Life's little gifts can brew a novel revolution...

And..tomorrow is also a paintin' contest, I'm thinkin of hookin up to a picture of Vincent Van Gogh for inspiration...
