Rebirth!

Oh boy..have I been on a blogging vacation..lol..no hard feelings ...I hope..but..giving you a few seasonal highlights I've been having exams..I have rocketed through some of them while some of them weren't that upto the mark but well..the consequences are to blamed on me! :D

I've been doin loads of art lately and my diary is intentionally or unintentionally yeilding pages of random and daydreamt musings!

I've always wanted to make the blogosphere a bulletion board of my art n poetry but I raely get the time to upload any of the pics..however..my schoolmates do have a very good idea of my extraordinaire artistry..( ode to me! :) )

Naaahh...its what just comes out when you are so full of emotions you just wanna tumble em all out on a paper and when you end up with that very unique bit of art..tadaa! You know only you could have done it that way..your feelings..your true possessions.

I promised my best friend (who is also a worthy follower) who is now gonna leave me within a couple of months that I'd do a drawing for her..one that's specially for her..one thats gonna be treasured in her heart and everytime she looks at it..its trademark Nashwa..but not just Nashwa..her friend Nashwa.

New year's gonna blossom a fruity spring ahead..hope you guys and girls are geared up and are kickin in season...take everyday in you lead..live a smile and do it contagiously..spread it to others.

Give a lil more love than you did before everyday to a new person..it works wonders.

I'm on for boards in two haphazard, unplanned months and I'm not looking forward to it..except for Math and english..

I gotta live up to the sky high expectations I've got from parents and teachers and that's pretty much fuelling me up..lol..so Inshallah..I've got an appreciable list of people praying for me..thankyou *_^

Tomorrow is a loved one's birthday...so...many hapy returns..may your bday go BOOM!

I'm looking back on this year and some of the things give me the creeps but in the end I can smile and say...woah! A lotta things went wrong but they also gave me experience...and reasons to brighten the future.

I'm happy..and I hope you all are too..

Luv ya all..best wishes for a gratifying year ahead...CHEESE!

Nash , xoxo :)

j*O*y!!!!

Begin today in full bloom....water your aspirations today to beautify the future...don't wither yourself in the dark..let the warm sunshine clothe you and excite your spirits! *_^

See what you want and get what you see!

Read How to get from where you are to where you want to be by Jack Canfield...and believe me..I agree with Harvey Mackay who said : 'if you could read one book this year..you have it in your hands.'

So a promo para from the bookie..not exactly how it's written in there..but in my own words..

So there's this baby elephant...it gets trained since its as tiny miny as us, tethered to some pole with a rope that constraints it to only a certain region where it has to run, play, do the normal stuff baby elephants do, in that small circular space, so this poor, innocent thing can't break the rope..that's the way its mind is moulded....

it don't break the rope....thennnnn....it becomes a colossal tonner after a period of time and even then...voila..it can break the rope before it even knows it did and yet pity..the idea never really occurs to him..because even years after it has this same order issued in it's brain...

no escapades mister!

See..regardless of how bold we are..if we have been trained by family and friends since small to a lot of restrictions like you know..when you are a toddler..you get what you want...you cry until you get it..in real life it works just the same..if you have an aim..you go after it..if the boat doesn't come to the shore..you have to swim to it..

when we grow big..everyone goes like..hey! don't touch that! and no! you can't do this!

etc...etc...

if you scare yourself from challenges before anyone else gets the chance to scare you..what's the point of riding the whole adventure then?? You don't have to listen..some people keep thinking of their self image..how other people might dislike them and how they may become like some unacceptable standout in the crowd..like a black sheep?

Even if people are thinking about you..all that they really do is think what YOU are thinking about them..everyone's just busy handling their own affairs..they don't really have time to peep into other's lives and even if they do..they don't have a solution for your fix...only you can go ahead and deal with it..confront every fear strongly...if happiness is not permanent, neither is sadness..its just what everyone goes through...part and parcel of the game..and evryday you are living through it..you can really congratulate yourself..have the roadblocks but still move on...go do it already! Watchya waitin for?? Someone else to grab hold of your dreams???

Remeber this...what you want..wants you...follow your heart...:)

See what you want and get what you see!

***^^^^^snore^^^^****

I'm sorry I wasted some ten minutes of history class writing this one...good luck interpreting this one!

Simple equations

Who'd seen the future
It's just a pitiful glance
To find out other's nature
When you take a stance
You'll see who cares
When the last tear falls
A common vice that everyone shares
When golden opportunity calls
To beckon you back
From moving fast forward
Leave you lethargic & slack
Jeer you that coward
You never really are
They deny all you can be
Knowing you can reach out far
With chances and trials infinity
Why ever hear inexperience talk?
Jealousy runs through their veins
To stumble you as you walk
Pessimists just shuffle through their pains
So you gonna hear someone who says..?
''There's dead end to the road..all's gone.''
Or just witfully change your ways...
No dead ends to roads, just unnoticed curves drawn.

Nashwa Khan....''to winners who think they're weak''

Basically..its s'posed to be those 'think deep' kinda poems...you see there are some people who get all frustrated *some* when we soar high...well..its just that we shouldn't let them hinder our path..long story made short...I know..I know...it was a bit boring.:) (aftermath of history class..lol)

Nailing it right....

I'm wondering if I could transform my blog into a bulletin board by posting in some of my artworks and brightening up the canvas....???
Hmm..suggestions???

WhOoPiEs n hULAs!!!

A lil rerun of fast facts...I'm back in Saudi Arabia..and alhumdulillah...school is going on fine....pity I couldn't publish a post in time for my blog's anniversary....
Also getting 10 followers (phew!) was meticulous work....but then they are very loyal to my blog... :*)
I also couldn't be in tune with carrotspeak and a year of beauty (blogs I follow)
And now...how's being back home...well....relaxing of course...and since its late oct'....the cold is sweeping in mildly during early hours and peeking out of the window is very refreshing every morning before ending up in my school's vicinity (with the exception of friday)
Humble aplogies to my followers for not responding to their comments for a while..:)
I hope I play fair next time....and yeah..thanks for commenting... ^_^
Since the last poem..( I was having poetry writing bouts in India..remember??), I wrote only one more uptil now (in India again) which I haven't yet published.
Again..exams are almost ringing my doorbell and sending small shivers up my spine every now and then but I think with the enthusiasm I have polished my lazy self after these hols...I'm going on pretty well with all my tests..(uptil now!)
A bunch of pluses here and there...I've read a few books...those big fat ones which some adults think are ugly....some of david stanford's and a bit of agatha christie....it was nice; though now I have to spend a lil bit of my time doing impeniding school projects and not hooking upto addictive books!
And then..oh yea....in a few days time Eid ul Adha is gonna wind up too and sooner than we can say..'woah..that was fast!' the year would end with us on a yet more epidemic note....what's this about the swine flu issue hysteria???
I mean....kids keep falling sick in our school at an alarming rate due to some viral fever they are rumourising as swine flu...however...I think our school authorities are taking enough action to curb all the hullabaloo...lol
We've also bought some self-improvement books although I have cautioned myself not to read a single page of them...the last time I did read them..it looked as if they were trying to toy with my mind...
I love the way I actually am right now...
starting small...ending big...
So should you....who knows...starting with Barack Obama's audacity of hope can actually with the right spirit make you the next big man like him...
Cheerios folks....take care..buh-bye and Allahafiz! <3

I've got ma blog a century!
A 100 posts!
Alhumdulillah...
su-weet satisfaction! :)

I just saw my reflection in the mirror and decided that there's some fault.....every one is more beautiful in the inside!!!!

All I see is sweet poppy heads and daisies...wild flowers and posies.....a truly blue sky...the world from where it appears most fantastic.... No....not the money-minded way....I see it from where no one can see it..I look at it in my own unique way....:)
Renaissance- bouncing back to a brilliant beginning

I'll work wonders at everything I do
Renew my vision for a beautiful you

Somewhere in everything's midst I discover beauty
rejoicing the heavens in blissful tranquility
All I see now is joy everywhere.....
The new-found happiness forever I'll share
with people I love and those who love me
Even if its gonna be a foe or enemy
I've gone through sadness and learned what I lived

I'm happy for what has happened and not what I missed
Prepared to view everything from a brighter perspective
Be proud that I have taken a novel initiative
Found that I had spelled life the wrong way before

Had become mistaken that heights I couldn't soar
But everything has to reach for light if it has to grow
And that's where the beginning is...when everything's aglow

I've seen how people get tortured.....how you don't wanna feel anything around you but the pain just seeps in.. But I've also seen patience When you know pain... And you come outta it with happiness and being grateful to The Almighty... You never look up in a dictionary for what patience is.... I can't promise that if you love the world..the world will return it back But through this..you'll be nourishing a more beautiful you!

Looking beyond horizons...
Nashwa Khan

Everyday I'd sail with my boat out into the sea
to see what new challenges life has in store for me
Cuz life's a storm where thunder chases me on my spree
I learned to smile through all sorrows trying to be happy
And when I reach a lonely shore, I look out to the sea
Decide I'll go out there again and weave my destiny
I'll take a stand, and yet embark on a new journey
To struggle through all surprises bought by this odyssey
But the waves warmly whisper and sing in symphony
the sky seemed to beam today in absolute harmony
and then a giant wave drops in banishing all glee
But I look beyond the horizons, where I should really be
The ocean replicates life's ups and downs in excellent epitome
the sailor has to forget all fears and mold the mind with bravery
A single flaw in the boat can vain all anguished assiduity
But yoy can still swim ashore, dreams don't harbor a boundary
Or you can drown in the tempest and rest in misery
Its better to die a warrior than lose in agony
You are never bounded by chains, you see, you were born free
You'll see, every time you conquer something new and make history
Just by looking beyond horizons where you should really be.

PS: SPELL CHECK-Know epitome?? It means a perfect example....and I just used it here cuz I came to know this year that it ain't spelled as (epitom) but as (epitomy) so it goes with the poems rhythm.

BaR B Q BoNaNzA!!!

After a hearty iftar and taraweeh we headed off yesterday, to a place where a soul can undoubtedly pamper his culinary delight to the maximum!
Bar-b-q nation is certainly grilled gourmet's haven. A vast palette of succulent delicacies conveniently barbecued to perfection on your table, a combination of 5 veg and 5 non-veg fiesta served on skewers at your order followed by a perfectly sumptuous buffet and delectable dessert!

I am not sure whether they are versatile with the buffet menu, the renowned hyderabadi biryani, south's finest temptation served at the end was a must!
Next in were the desserts; strawberry cheesecake, more like mousse but still compromises with its looks, frosted almond cake- simply delicious! Traditional gulab jamun- applauded without hesitation; chocolate mousse cake-my personal fav! And.....vanilla ice-cream-super sweet!

A choice of three splendid sauces for a terrific topping to suit you taste-buds, chocolate sauce, pineapple and a third one I didn't try.
The ambience rates to a straight 9 on 10 with a warm lighting to accentuate your 'da leisure mood'.

Walk into Hyderabad's most promising eatouts of today at a smashing Rs 450/ head!!

*******bon appetit!*******

NASHY

Looking back...

Looking back on the earliest dated posts, I feel wobbling like a jelly and suppress a lot of giggles...And to be particular, I'm clueless why the first post seems so funny after reviewing it after nearly a year, it just reminds me that I had just tip-toed in as a quite new member because we get so many new born bloggers everyday, I was unaware of the realm of publicising my thoughts and feelings where people could comment and you could just read trough the feedback and know what people feel looking right inside your mind!
Blogging undoubtedly helps you become more transparent, and is an oblivion to a number of other things you can shout out loud, and now, after a multitude of swithces from blogger to wordpress and vice-versa, I do think in presentation wordpress falls behind, becuase if you fall in the category of those who are more bent on the asthetic side, like me, blogger is a good option to opt for, but when you want to trademark your ip address as solely yours, blogger is a no-no.
Also, blogger templates are much easier to upload. (after unzipping the xml of course)
In the end..you decide though...(I find blogger templates cuter and in a wider array of colors and graphics)
Considering widgets....that's not a problem in either case I think..
Anyways...ramadan kareem to all..
:)

What's on????

Even if everyone at my paternal home is swinging to the now very renowned beats of dhan ta nan, I humbly sit down for another nonchalant post..
So...what's on??
Pointless to ask..nothing of importance really, onset of festivals begins!!!
Hmm.....still can't believe that there is more than a month left to my blog's anniversary :'(
But still time did fly!
And I'm gonna have another set of oh-so-bad exams soon..so, Ive bought a couple of reference books to look up so that I don't flunk on a few stupid questions which I could have answered if I had studied my portions properly.
I also need proper fuel for it!
You know what I'm silently wishing for...ice-cream!!!
My very sweet (literally) comrade lands itself in every post..lol!
But, I have (thankfully) eaten an awful-awful (about two weeks ago, *sigh), dark chocolate actually is a whole lot of good for your body, including your heart! <3
It was a disputed topic in my family a bout a year back but now....referring to several promising sources, it really works wonders for you..(esp for chocoholics like me)

For people who are currently feeling dreary and wanna check out some site that will end up making their tummy growl..this is from brighthub.com :)

Health Benefits of Chocolates

Although chocolates are known more for their rich taste, there are also many benefits of eating chocolates. With a high cocoa content, dark chocolate is a great source of flavonoids, gallic acid, and epicatechin, and so is thought to be very good for the heart. Here are some other key benefits of chocolates:

1. Chocolates may be good for your heart:

Preliminary research studies claim that chocolates and other cocoa products may have circulatory benefits. A study presented at the American Association for the Advancement of Science’s claimed that eating flavonoid-rich foods, including chocolate, ensured low risk of cardiovascular diseases.

Dark chocolate contains higher amounts of flavonoids than white chocolate. However, this cannot be true for chocolate syrups and processed cocoa powder since their manufacturing process removes such antioxidants.

2. Chocolates lower LDL cholesterol:

Studies have suggested that eating dark chocolate can reduce bad cholesterol (LDL cholesterol). An Italian study published in the August 2005 issue of the Hypertension Journal revealed that eating dark chocolate can lower LDL cholesterol levels by 10 percent. In a study, Pennsylvania State University researchers have also found that people who consumed flavonoid-rich dark chocolate have higher levels of good cholesterol compared with people in the control group.

3. Eating Chocolates may lower your blood pressure:

One of the key benefits of eating chocolate is having a very healthy blood flow. Cocoa contains a substance that processes a compound called nitric oxide. This substance helps in maintaining healthy blood pressure and blood flow.

Moreover, the flavonoids in chocolates prevent blood clots as they do not allow fatty substances in the bloodstream to oxidize the arteries.

4. Chocolates may lessen anxiety and give you an energy lift:

Eating a bar of chocolate may lift your mood. Many researchers confirm the anti-depressant qualities of chocolates. A study conducted on 3,000 subjects by the Black Dog Institute found that almost 45 percent people with depression improved their mood after having chocolates. The main component behind chocolate’s anti-depressant properties is serotonin, a neurotransmitter. Chocolates also stimulate the production of endorphins, which can induce feeling of pleasure. Scientists have found that the endorphins and opoids in chocolates makes people feel less anxious and worried and makes them relaxed.

5. Chocolates are rich in Antioxidants:

The high flavonoid content in chocolate, particularly dark chocolate and cocoa powder, can not only relax blood pressure, but also may protect your body from aging. Dark chocolate contains a large number of antioxidants compared to strawberries. A study conducted by researchers of the University of Scranton confirms the high antioxidant content in chocolates. Flavonoids (or flavonols) in chocolates act as antioxidants and fight against free radicals.

Some of the scientific terms may tip you off and make you feel like you shouldn't have started reading the post in the first place....hmm..you've read at you own risk..

Don't worry..chocolate to the rescue (don't go for lindtt with a humongous blend of saturated fats though), have a light crunchy bite and go rave!!!

^_^, buh-bye!

A friend of beauty is a joy forever!

This is something my friend sent to me and I really liked it, so I thought it would be nice to put it up! <3

You are a Light, who made ma life all bright...
You are a Feeling, for whom I am living...
You are a Picture,I'm imagining only when am with ya...
You are a Friend, whose I'll be, till the end...
You are a Start,to every single beat of my heart...
You are a Reason, through which i get to see all season...
You are a Seed, growing in me, which feels so sweet...
You are a Touch, made me see, with no need of a torch...
You are a Rope,of which i can trust when there is no hope...
You are a Dream, that melts into me like full of sweetness cream

BEAUTIFUL??? Isn't it????? I'll post more....to keep you hooked!!!

@ 9:35 pm.....

3 WORDS.....

You know those three, yet you cry
life's tough...you live and die
You sigh when you when you think the road ain't smooth

you hurt yourself for problems crude
why sob tears when living is all about death
you might as well enjoy every breath
your past just fades, then why leave the wounds fresh?
just learn from what you lost and leave out all the rest
cuz melody is what life is, the lyrics are a mess
its easier to smile, than tell words of depress
your journey is a jigsaw, a package without instructions
you've left your footprints behind, just gather reasons
for why you always search for sunshine through rain
for why you bruise yourself, life's anyway about pain
you already have the wick, now get passion's fire burning
so every time you trip, you are bleeding but learning
some are gonna laugh at you, but why darn care??
they have never seen diamonds like ya, unique n rare
you know the three words: life goes on
every darkness is approached by a new morn'

NMK-10TH AUGUST'09

Precipation probz!

~still no rains~
*sigh*
Yesterday, I had saved a draft of this post, the same thing, see, the title aboove, precipitation probz?
Well, barely before I could continue to write further, it started raining...for a minute, and the back to drought culture!
Oh boy, and even though its not raining there are powercuts...scorching Indian heat (ooh!), no minusing the mosquitoes either!!!
So , so trademark India!!!
Indian malls springing up every now and then....
One day, I'll surely end up giving a review on each of them.
Another thing to watch out for....Ramadan! yeah!
Inshallah, I'll do my best to post inspiring islamic articles.
I have a friend who keeps mailing me very motivating ones, but I think she's caught up in her own routine recently....so I'll be looking up some websites for help.
Of course, all you have to do is copy paste, but it goes along way if so many people all over the globe are reading this page.
Sometimes, its funny being a blogger when you think someone reading your blog has been sticking out their eyes to the screen, it almost feels as if they have been looking right through my mind!!!
Sorry, if I just sounded offensive, but my brain's been hi=jacked by long time blogger spent periods thinking about something desi to write, and I ended up with no content but something I've saved up in my cranium since multiple posts.
Next time, Inshallah, I'll post something useful. lol!
Allahafiz! *_*

Have you eaten this???

Okay....so its called hot combo...at least that's what they wrote in the flight menu!
A combination plate with prawn tagine (tagine? have no idea what that is!), beef steak and date stuffed chicken breast with orange sauce!
maaaaan!
bon appetite!
Plus,
Baked cheesecake (wow) and mango mousse served with sliced fresh fruits garnished with chopped pistachio!!!
And before this heavenly delicacy was consumed a cute little cup of hot chocolate was ordered!
And it was delllllllicious!
So I need to learn how to make that! (hot combo, I mean)
Fab flight, fab food!!! ^_^
One more thing....that hot choclate got me all heated up to write this, it reminded me of a choco slushie we get back in Jeddah
Ahhhh, indulgence!!!!!
When you throat is parched (arabian heat...you can call it more than parched), you really have to get one of those slushies, yum!!!
Gosh! why do I always subconsciously end up talking about food?
I'm not even a foodie!!! :p
Guess I don't know the answer myself!!!
Guess I started dreaming again, lol..okay..
so signing out!
*_^

Poem!!!!

A hug, a kiss and a smile!

I'll be your illumination, I'll be your glow
When everyone else leaves saying 'no'
to brighten your life, heighten your spirits
I'll be your shine and adorn your merits
I'll be the breeze to blow away your tears
I'll be your sunshine and drive away your fears
I'll be like a flower, to make your life bloom
To love you like a friend in times of gloom
I'll be those moments you'll love to treasure
To eliminate your pain and multiply your pleasure
One day you'll see when you gaze at the sea
A wave had washed away your blues, yeah, it was me
There is a rainbow you can look at when you are gay
I'd cherished your colors of love day after day
I'll be like a wand, make your fairytale magic
Its my reflection you have in your eyes, when times are tragic
Maybe this friend could wait forever, but you'll know in a while
I always have my arms outstretched for a hug, a kiss and a smile!!

InDiA AgAin!

If I'd done a bet at my school.....(which is better-India or Jeddah?)
I'd probably get an overwhelming response for Jeddah.
Jeddah people are pretty used to Jeddah stuff...which is pretty mind absorbing....
As I mentioned in my earlier posts (if you have gone through them), flavouricious Baskin robins (okay..okay..I'm an ice cream o holic, I can't stop talking about Ice creams the whole time), but there's also other things..
see, you have Makkah just 70 kilometre away...
That counts in as a merit for all saudi arabians! <3
Buuuuut, if you want me to give a soft side to India..and you are that outdoorsy kinda person, who can't resist stepping outta your home every now and then..
you don't have to resist that urge.....you step out, you're rearing to go....just one teeny weeny thing..
Traffic, yes, the lil bug that keeps growing every day...(people who might just be frowning right now remembering honking drivers), referring to them, yeah, if you drive, you'll know exactly what I mean.
If you are a backseat occupier, you just can't honk back at them...you can either slip some headphones or you don't land up there in the first place :D
Okay enough desi stuff...
Frankly, no mood to write right now..so this post was some kind of obligation I owed to myself :P
Allahafiz! *_*

SuMmEr sUpRiSeS!!!!!

Summer's bringin in a lot of sunshine.
Woohoo!
Okay..so its saudi Arabia, not like..you'd say...
''oh wow! mommy! look at the greenery!'' or
''that garden's heavenly.''
or
''lets get smashing in the water park.''
so.....not a good host of outdoor paparazzi..
HMMMMM..what about indoor chills....
I have a good idea about what's running through your minds...
Teens and adulst alike..lol!
So lets not mention about it.
For unbloggified people....blogging is a pretty good option.
So even if you are getting bored...you get to shout that loud in blogger.
Maintain a diary......that's so much fun!
Of corse, blogs are like an open book, a public diary.
Hehe, vista to your private imagination!
But I am talking about the normal paper diary...yup.
Sometimes, its better than a blog.
In a blog...you usually have to be a bit careful about what you say.
In a diary..you don't, at least its not like its necessary or anytin'
But hey, I'm seriously not giving tips to anyone on it, okay.
By the way, take care of your language people....
Its expanding every second, like I just said *unbloggified*
I never know whether it exists.
But everything has a postive and negetive direction.
Its about using abusive words....try avoiding them...really, you write more flexible without them...I mean..I know people so addicted to them...that they'd use them as a stupid substitute for...
''what are you doing?''
''why did you go offline.''
Surfers know how you could just re-write the same senetence using a bad word.
Plus...its not cool.
There are gazillion cooler words than that which are particularly goin' extinct because of this unfriendly and rude usage!
Better realise it late than never, I say!
Don't have a lot of rambling in my mind today...maybe next time, I'll have a more productive post (hopefully)
Allahfiz! :)

Just something to share!

Inna lillaahi wa inna ilayhi Raaji'oon
By Asma bint Shameem

Yeah, sure we say this statement when someone dies.. Also some of us may say this sentence when they lose something, suffer a setback or harm. But………..do you know what it means?
Sure, everyone knows that it obviously means 'To Allah we belong and to Him is our return.'

But that's not what I am talking about.

I mean ….do you REALLY; TRULY understand these words and their implications in a Muslim's life?

It means …whatever we have is not really ours. It belongs to Allaah.

Take a look around you; everything you see, all that you have and all that there is….in you, on you, around you….belongs to Allaah, alone.
It is Allah Who has given you all the property and goods you possess, and that He is the true Owner of them all.

So the cars that you own, the houses that you live in, the businesses you possess all truly belong to Allaah.
The kids that He blessed you with, the health that He gave you, the time that He has allowed you are all Allah's property.
Even the bodies we live in and the life that we have belong to Allaah alone.

"And to Allah belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth…." (Surah Aal-Imraan:180)

"The kingdom of the heavens and the earth and everything in them belongs to Allah. He has power over all things." ( Surat al-Ma'ida: 120)

'Say: 'To Allah belongs the East and the West…' (Surah al-Baqarah:142)

Now, since everything belongs to Allaah, then we have to include even our souls in that list.

The very souls that we think of as our "self"; our "nafs"; our "being" -- whatever you want to call it -- that very thing that distinguishes you from the rest of the world, belongs to Allaah. It's not YOURS.

In fact, YOU are not YOURS.
You belong to Allaah.

And this is the essence of the concept of slavery to Allaah in Islam.

And since He is the true Possessor of everything, and everything is His property, He allots what He wills to whomever He wills…….and then He takes it away. After all, it was Allah’s to begin with.

So He may give you some thing and then take it back after a while..
He will bless you with a precious child that you love dearly…and then He may take it away.
He will grant you money, honour and status….and then He may take it away.
He will give you youth, vitality and health and then surely He will take it away.

In fact everything you have will only be with you for a very short while.
And then the Owner will claim His Right.

So when Allaah does reclaim what was rightfully His, WHY MOURN OUR LOSSES?

Just like a friend who lends you his book. And then after a few days, he wants it back and you give it back to him…no regrets…..no sorrow….no questions asked.

Similarly, if Allah takes back some of His blessings upon you for some reason….so be it.

Say Alhamdulillah.

Don't grieve.

Be patient.

Submit to the will of Allaah, being pleased with His decision for you. For surely He will only do what is best for you.
Just think…..The Owner came and took it back.

Remember….that you're not the real owner…..you were NEVER the real owner to begin with. You only had everything because it was Allah who gave it to you in the first place. If He didn't give it to you, you wouldn't have had it in any way…in fact, you couldn't have had it.

Remember….man enters into this world empty handed…and leaves it empty handed.

Remember….that everything we have, all the blessings we enjoy, are gifts from Almighty Allah...gifts that we enjoy for a limited period until He takes them away whenever He deems fit.

They are a trust from Allah…a loan to you…to see how you respond to these gifts from Allaah and how you use them….in the obedience of the Almighty, thanking Him and worshipping Him……OR……..to the disobedience to the One Who gave then to you in the first place.

Take note of the words of the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) on the occasion of the death of his son, Ibraahim:
'Our eyes are filled with tears, our hearts with grief, but we say nothing with our lips except that which pleases Allah.... Verily, to Allah we belong, and to Him we return.'
(Bukhaari)

And we all know the famous incidence about the companion Abu Talha and his wife when one of the sons died and Abu Talha was not at home. She washed and shrouded him and when Abu Talha came home and asked about his son, she said, 'The child is quiet and I hope he is in peace….' (Bukhaari)
Subhaan Allaah….such patience!

And such Imaan in the statement "Inna lillaahi wa inna ilayhi Raaji'oon"!

She truly understood its meaning and the affect it should have on her life as a Muslimah, submitting to him and being pleased with whatever He has decreed for her.
She knew that whatever she has, is not truly hers. Rather, it is Allaah's….and He took back whatever He owns at its appointed time.
And it is because of this Imaan so strong, this understanding, that the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) made dua for them and Allaah blessed them immensely.
"'They (i.e. Abu Talha and his wife) had nine sons and all of them became reciters of the Quran (by heart)." (Bukhaari)

"Be sure we will test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives, but give glad tidings to those who are steadfast, who say when afflicted with calamity: 'To Allah we belong and to him is our return.' They are those on who (descend) blessings from Allah and mercy and they are the once that receive guidance." (al-Baqarah: 155)

The Prophet (PBUH) said 'Pass on knowledge from me even if it is only one verse'

I pray to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala to forgive me for any errors or shortcomings.
May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala keep us on the Path that pleases Him.
Ameen !!

The end is near!!!!

Exams are on the verge of endiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing!
That's one supercool fact, there's another, vacccccations!
heehhaa, hols all around.
Two months of pure ecstasy!
Fun, vigour and zeal!
And rain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awww, blisssssss!

Picture this...
You are on top of a mountain...where you feel you are almost touching the clouds, facing the ocean....feeling the breeze all around you....and the pitter patter of rain sweeps you away...away..away from this world.
From the normal insecurities and tensions, from those people who kill, who are the roots of devil who infiltrate earth's glee everyday.
Get away from all that, enjoy, just breathe deep, just feel everything to the fullest...
Close your eyes, and think about all the creations, so wonderful , in such perfect symmetry and brilliant multitudes.
Picture that...su-weet!
And blend your sorrow with the new-found happiness, extinguishing all the agony.
Live it...and never stop dreaming..
maybe its the last moment you'll have..
And maybe its the best you'll ever picture and yet feel so absolutely real about it.
Beautiful, isn't it?
You are beautiful too, because you are a creation too....
when you take the little things in life, you might just happen to find the most joy in them!

Exam blues and monkey business! :D

Math mourning!
Oh..the insufferable pain!!!!
Exams are on a roll, I had Math today, and Alhumdulillah, it was okay..and next we have English..which is okay too.
Actually nobody fancies this termly tortures so the only word we get to describe them with without going to the extremes is ''okay''
Otherwise, we could make a perfectly good use of a hoard of rude words form the English language.

But I also learnt a few facts..
You never do the proving questions of trigonometry when you are hungry
You never plan on skipping a question you don't like because that is the very question which will happen to crashland on the paper!
You never eat ice-cream on the eve of the big day because it is certainly going to make you go in ''da leisure mood''
Ahh, sweet ice-cream with caramel swirls and ribbons........:)

But I still prefer double chocolate from Baskin robins and esp. Chocolate mousse royale!
Melts in your mouth!
Jeddah also has a wide range of hangouts to pamper you..really.
Take for eg. if one mall springs up here, it is followed by another.
Thrills and chills.
Long lines of food courts....shops and shops lined up to no end.
And that jalapeno chicken burger you get from Hardees is a real relish!
But then if you are a real homely foodie, and you demand to have the same taste you get from your mom's hands everywhere, there's not really any nice option for that.
You would have to stick on good old home food then and count out fast foods and other not so 'fast food ' restaurants!
Coming to other forms of amusement..hmm...there's a jeddah summer festival when I really have no idea what happens..they just show the ad on tv and you wonder where that place is in Jeddah.
Basically ads 'are' supposed to project reality masked with a whole lot of glamour..
But you have a half hour fireworks show here or sometimes 15 minutes.
That's amazing!
Only during Eid though...but then that's a good reason to rush to corniche if you are sitting at home!
Other feautures...*scratching my head* ...umm.can't remember!
We'll have to see for India now....
In hyderabad, an icecream-a-holic's heaven includes 'HAVMOR, ohries'
And my fav ice-cream there is ''awful-awful''
Simply love the name....yum!
You get it in two sizes; medium or large and depending on the size there's a tall glass where there's vanilla ice-cream melted in perfectly with choclate syrup, cashews, and wafers.
I just don't know the secret ingredient..what makes it so special?
The ice-cream is chilly and the syrup is hot!

Rocks!
Then there's another party place-ICE N SPICE
Another cool name.
But Havmor still ranks top!
Ice n spice is a good stop-by when you are in your sweet-tooth moods.
And then, there's softy den...I tried it once...and if I remeber, ordered a chocolate fantasy...and it turned out to be choooooooooooo chweeeeet..I swore I'll never eat choclate again.
But then, that's next to impossible!
And now...no more cybersurfing, I really have to go and study!
*sigh*
PS- please, please, pray for an optimum result!!!!!
